Docomomo US Announces Modernism in America Awards
Docomomo US announced the winners of its 2019 Modernism in America Awards on April 30. The ten winners, across three tiers of award level, represent the best in preservation and advocacy practice.

“This year’s Awards recognize projects as holistic and collaborative efforts," said Theodore Prudon, who is president of Docomomo US. "Modernism was about societal progress through design, and it is important that likewise we, as preservationists of this era, continue to push for improvements in how we identify, document, and preserve our modern heritage.”
The 2019 edition of the Modernism in America Awards is the sixth iteration of the program. This year's jury included Alexandra Lange, Amy Freitag, Charles Birnbaum, Jean-Louis Cohen, and Peyton Hall.
